# Scheme Participation Check

> Check whether an entity is an approved participant in a market's Sender ID scheme.

Determine whether an entity is an approved participant in the relevant market's SMS Sender ID scheme, keyed on its registration number. In Australia this checks the entity against the ACMA scheme-approved provider register.

The check is country-driven. A market with no live scheme register returns `scheme_register_unavailable` and never returns `participating` from a source that is not live.
